Dr. Mushtaq has more than 24 years experience in the field of medicine. She has completed her internship and residency in psychiatry with Texas Tech Health Science University in Lubbock, TX and is the author of multiple publications in Psychiatric Journals. Furthermore, she is a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Board-certified in Psychiatry and specializes in treating all scopes of behavioral and emotional problems. Dr. Mushtaq’s first priority has always been the well-being of her patients. As a result, She Founded Texas Psychiatry Group as an avenue to enhance the quality of behavioral health care by focusing on providing individualized treatments for her patients as well as collaboratively working alongside their primary care physicians, and any other treating physicians to help them recover and return stability to their lives. Dr. Mushtaq also has a passion for teaching and has served as an honorary clinical instructor for medical and nursing students.
Anand Balasubramanian, MD, PA, is a Notary Public and also a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician focused on providing his patients with preventive and value-based medicine. Coming from a long line of physicians, Dr. Balasubramanian has been in practice since 2007. He is specialized in adult primary care and internal medicine. Before starting his professional career, he pursued a formal education at Thanjavur Medical College (TMC) in Tamil Nadu, India, where he received a degree in Doctor of Medicine (MD). After completing a three-year internship in internal medicine at Coney Island Hospital (NYC Health + Hospitals) in Brooklyn, New York, he became certified to practice medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Outside of his primary trade, Dr. Balasubramanian maintains involvement with numerous organizations related to his field. He is affiliated with the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the Harris County Medical Society (HCMS). Dr. Balasubramanian was selected for inclusion in the 71st edition of “Who’s Who in America” in light of his accomplishments. He has been recognized by Marquis “Who’s Who Top Doctors” for his dedication, achievements, and leadership in internal medicine. Moving forward, he intends to work within his community and develop relationships with the older population. Patients can rely on Anand Balasubramanian for personable and personalized care.
Dr. Barbara Kirsch obtained her PhD in Counseling Psychology from St Mary’s University. She also is a Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified PMHNP, and is licensed as an APRN Advanced Psychiatric Registered Nurse and CNP Certified Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Kirsch specializes in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of Depression, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, Insomnia and ADHD. Dr. Kirsch offers educational instruction for parents with children with Emotional and Disruptive Disorders and provides comprehensive Behavior Modification programs for the parents. Dr. Kirsch also offers and provides additional educational instruction on Dream Analysis and Grief and Loss treatment.
