Do you take my insurance?

We likely do accept your insurance. Our Houston-based mental health clinic is in network with most major commercial and private insurances. These include Cigna, BlueCross-BlueShield, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna and more. We also have self pay option.  We will validate your insurance and verify your benefits before you visit our clinic so you can focus on getting the treatment you need. Do you treat people with multiple disorders?

Yes, we treat patients that have multiple disorders.

We commonly treat ADHD/ADD, mood disorder, anxiety disorder, PTSD & trauma, psychotic disorder, personality disorders, and sleeping disorder.

How do I apply to become a new patient?

A new patient can directly book an appointment through the Get Appointment page or call our phone (832-699-8900) and speak with our front office staff.

 

Can I be a patient if I have no insurance?

We accept self-pay patients who do have or want to use insurance for their needs.

Do you offer onsite and virtual visits?

We offer onsite treatments and virtual (tele) visits with our professionals.

Does Texas Psychiatry Group accept credit cards?

Our clinic does accept credit cards as payment for services.

What are visiting hours?

Our office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm for psychiatric help.

How long is each visit?

Visits normally require 45 minutes for the first visit and 20-30 minutes for subsequent visits.

Do you offer therapy services?

We do have a licensed therapist on staff who is available by appointment.

Tele-Visit Questions

I am interested in telehealth, how do I determine if it is an option for me?

Telehealth is an option for almost all patient depending on the type of medications needed for treatment.  Discuss these details with our psychiatrist on your first appointment.

Will my insurance cover telehealth visits?

Telehealth is a widely accepted mental health treatment option now for almost all insurances. Our insurance validation/verification will determine if your insurance accepts telehealth visits.

Are telehealth video appointments HIPAA Compliant?

Yes, all telehealth visits are broadcast via an encrypted, HIPAA compliant secure network link.

How Do I Cancel My Appointment?

A patient can call our phone (832-699-8900) during office hours to cancel an appointment.

How can I reschedule my appointment for a more convenient time for me?

Can I use my phone or tablet for a tele-visit?

Yes, a phone or tablet can be used to create the tele-visit link to our office.  We recommend a larger screen to better see the Doctor or therapist during your tele-visit.

Do I need a special web browser to join in a tele-visit?

No special web browser is needed.  We recommend using Google Chrome as a browser, but the other common browser may be used.
